Body of missing man found in Guilford County, death ruled homicide
GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A body found on Sunday evening has been identified as a man missing since February.
Guilford County Sheriff BJ Barnes reports that at about 5:47 p.m. Sunday the deceased body of Brian Kelley Clontz was found in a wooded area along N.C. 62 East near Phillippi Road.
At present, Clontz’s death is being classified as a homicide based on several lacerations found on his body, Barnes said.
Clontz, 48, was last seen Feb. 9 at his home in Julian.
His family reported him missing to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 19.
