CARY, N.C. — Police in Cary said they are hoping to swipe out a credit card cloner before another person’s financial identification gets stolen.

Since March 1, at least eight victims have reported that their credit or debit cards have had money withdrawn from their accounts despite having their cards in their possession.

Authorities said most of the instances happened on March 1st and 2nd, between 1-4 p.m. at various CashPoints ATM machines, as well as at Bank of America and Wells Fargo ATM locations.

The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 25 and 40-years-old with an average to heavy-set build, and standing between 5-foot-7 and to 5-foot-11.
