Man accused of charging ACC spectators to park on somebody else’s property

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police arrested a man in Greensboro Wednesday after he charged five people to park vehicles in a High Point Road lot for the ACC tournament, according to an arrest warrant. The problem: It wasn’t his lot, according to the Greensboro News & Record.

Danny Earl Hedrick, 54, of Denton, faces a charge of obtaining property by false pretense. Hedrick charged $10 per car for ACC spectators to park their vehicles at Bill’s Pizza, 2607 High Point Road, according to the warrant.

Police did not know the identities of the victims, the warrants stated. Hedrick was released on a promise to appear in court.
