Silver Alert issued for missing man in Mebane

MEBANE, N.C. — The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing man in Mebane.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for 34-year-old Joseph Allen Horner who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Horner is 5-foot-11 weighs approximately 188 pounds. He has short brown hair, brown eyes, and has tattoos on his legs and arms.

He was last seen wearing a black hat with a red “C,” a black short-sleeved shirt and black shorts.

Police said Horner was last seen at 709 Summit Ridge Road in Mebane.

He was traveling toward East Stagecoach Road behind Food Lion.
