4 injured in wreck in Wilkes County; 2 with potentially life threatening injuries

WILKES COUNTY, N.C. — Four people were injured in a wreck in Wilkes County near Elkin on Friday evening.

According to Wilkes EMS, the two-vehicle wreck happened near the intersection of N.C. 268 and Edwards Lakeview Drive at about 6:30 p.m.

Three people were transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and one person was transported to Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.

Two of the four people injured sustained potentially life threatening injuries, according to Wilkes EMS.

The identities of the people involved in the accident have not been released.
