Silver Alert canceled for missing Surry County man

Update 5:08 a.m. — The Silver Alert for Samuel Stevenson Greenway has been canceled.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered man, Samuel Stevenson Greenway.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Greenway, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Greenway was last seen at 168 Tom’s Creek Bluff Lane in Pilot Mountain. He was wearing a tan coat, tan pants, tan hat and brown shoes.

He may be traveling toward Sandy Plains in Polk County.
