FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. -- Troopers released new information Wednesday on a wreck that happened on Wallburg Road involving a tractor-trailer and an oil tanker Monday evening.

Troopers said the 24-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer, Jordan Griffin of Kernersville, was new to his job as a driver for Pepsi. He was still in training when the crash happened.

Griffin went off the right side of the road while traveling away from Union Cross Road then overcorrected and hit the oil tanker, causing it to overturn.

The driver of the oil tanker was not injured.

Griffin and his trainer were injured in the crash. Griffin has undergone multiple surgeries at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and is stable in the intensive care unit.

No charges have been filed, but the crash is still under investigation.
