Police continue search for missing Winston-Salem man

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are continuing to search for a man who has not been seen since last Tuesday.

Eduardo Mendez Hernandez, 44, was last seen at his apartment at 100 Stagecoach Road at about 4 a.m. on Feb. 17.

Hernandez is described as about 5’6” and about 140 pounds. Police said he is blind in his left eye.

On Tuesday, officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department will join with members of the Triad Bloodhound Team to conduct a ground search of the area. The area is question is predominately residential and surrounded by wooded parcels of varying size and density.

Police said Hernandez was not wearing appropriate clothing for the cold weather when he went missing last week and may have been intoxicated at the time.

A Silver Alert has been issued for Hernandez.
