Oil truck, tractor-trailer crash on Wallburg Road in Forsyth County; injuries reported

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. -- Three people were involved in a crash Monday after a tractor-trailer and an oil tanker collided on Wallburg Road, shutting down traffic for about four hours.

Officials say the driver of the tractor-trailer was airlifted and taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after being pinned inside.

There's no word yet on the conditions of the victims.

About 20 to 50 gallons of oil from the fuel truck spilled onto the road.

Residents nearby say the crash happened within seconds.

The crash is being investigated by the N.C. Highway Patrol.
