Winston-Salem police investigate report of man assaulting woman, forcing her in car

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police are investigating a report of a man who allegedly assaulted a woman, forced her into a car and drove off.

Police responded to the report in the 1100 block of Ada Avenue at about 6:19 p.m. Saturday.

Officers were told that an unknown man assaulted an unknown woman and then possibly forced her into a vehicle before and left.

The vehicle was seen leaving the scene headed toward the Rural Hall Road area, according to police.

Officers were not able to find the vehicle or determine the identities of the people involved in this incident.

The area residents did not recognize either of the involved people as being from the neighborhood, according to police.

The car was described as an older-model, green-colored, Volvo sedan with a “102 Jamz” sticker on the left side of the rear window.
