Several still left without power in Piedmont Triad

UPDATE: As of about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, about 400 people in Guilford County were still without power and about 60 people were without power in Forsyth County.

GREENSBORO, N. C. – Strong winds knocked down trees and power lines overnight leaving many Triad residents without power Sunday morning.

According to Duke Energy, Guilford County and Forsyth County still have about 5,000 customers without power total, about 2,500 in each county.

Duke Energy said that crews are assessing the damage and the estimated restoration time is three hours.
