Police investigating 2 attempted armed robberies in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are investigating two attempted robberies that were reported Wednesday night.

Both attempted robberies took place on West Wendover Avenue within an hour and a half of one another.

Police responded to the CVS located at 4310 W. Wendover Ave. just after 9 p.m.

The cashier told police a man in a bluehooded sweatshirt and jeans approached the counter, displayed a knife and demanded money.

When the cashier refused, the suspect left the business on foot without any money.

The second call came in at about 10:21 p.m. and police responded to the Walmart located at 4424 W. Wendover Ave.

Police said a man in a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans approached the victim in the parking of Walmart. The suspect then pulled out a knife and demanded money.

When the victim refused to hand over any money, the suspect fled the scene.
