WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — School leaders are investigating a racy assignment allegedly given to several middle school students.

The assignment consisted of a word search based on the novel “50 Shades of Grey,” according to the Valley Independent.

The word search contained sexually explicit terms related to the novel.

Parents complained at a Tuesday school board meeting, but school officials said it was “too preliminary” to release details.

School officials did confirm there is an ongoing investigation.
