BURLINGTON, N.C. -- There is nothing that appears to be wasted more than human capital.

There are people with potential everywhere who, for whatever reason, aren’t living up to their potential. Tavores Vanhook saw that and was determined to change it.

So, in 2008, he began the Men’s Empowering Resource Center, where he mentors men – both young and not-so-young – in the ways of being successful in life.
