PHOENIX, Ariz. — Panthers’ linebacker Thomas Davis won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in Arizona Saturday night, according to WSOC.

The award is named for the late Hall of Fame running back and recognizes a player’s community service and performance on the field.

The NFL Foundation will make a donation in Davis’ name to his favorite charity. Davis was also a finalist last year.

Other finalists this year included Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers and 49ers’ wide receiver Anquan Boldin.
