CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 16-year-old North Carolina teenager and his family will be going to the Super Bowl, thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

WSOC reported that Austin Edwards will be seeing his favorite team, the New England Patriots, after attending a Make-a-Wish event Friday in Charlotte.

At the end of the event, Edwards was surprised when the foundation revealed his wish to go to the Super Bowl came true.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation arranges experiences to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Edwards has cystic fibrosis, a chronic lung disease.
