Parents arrested after filming baby playing with gun

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Police in Indiana have charged a mother and father with neglecting a child after the couple allegedly filmed their baby playing with a real handgun.

14news.com reported that Toni Wilson, 22, and Michael Barnes, 19, both of Evansville, Indiana, face charges in connection to the cellphone video.

At one point in the video, the child can be seen putting the gun in her mouth. Someone in the video can be heard saying “bang.”

Police reportedly found the video on the father’s phone when they were investigating him for trying to sell the same gun to an undercover officer.

In addition to child neglect, police have charged the mother and father with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and allowing a child to possess a firearm.

The daughter was a 1-year-old. The gun was a 40-caliber pistol.
