YADKINVILLE, N.C. — Police arrested a Hamptonville man on multiple counts related to felony breaking and entering.

John Davis, 27, was arrested Friday after a Hamptonville resident said someone broke into his home and took several items.

Police said they discovered that Davis also stole a North Carolina driver’s license that belonged to the victim’s son, who used the I.D. to sell stolen items in north Wilkesboro.

Some of the stolen items were returned to the victim.

Davis is currently being held at the Yadkin County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. Davis is also being held on unrelated charges. His court date is Jan. 14, 2015.
