Winston-Salem police respond to report of human remains, find bear remains

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police responded to a report of human remains discovered on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to 280 Business Park Drive at 10:45 a.m. after personnel with waste management called about what they believed were a human foot and hand located within recovered recyclable items.

Waste management personnel showed what they had discovered to officers.

Medical Examiner’s Office personnel also responded to the scene. After further examination it was determined that the items found were remains of a bear.
