EDEN, N.C. — Two women are in custody in connection with a home invasion, robbery and assault.

Chrishanna Babb, 24, and Shereva Marie Johnson, 30, both of Eden, are each charged with first-degree burglary, simple assault, second-degree kidnapping and common law robbery.

On Dec. 12 around 2 a.m., a 21-year-old female victim reported that she answered a knock at her door in the 100 block of Vintage Road. When she opened the door, two women pushed their way into her home, punched and kicked her repeatedly and stole her cell phone and cash.

The victim said she managed to get away from the two attackers and lock herself in her bathroom, only to have them kick in the door and continue their assault.

Babb and Johnson were both arrested and placed in the Rockingham County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond.
