High Point police respond to large disturbance, stabbing

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Officers were dispatched to a large disturbance on Wednesday and located a man who was stabbed.

Around 5:45 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Wilson Place regarding the disturbance. While en route, they were notified of a possible assault victim at 901 Jefferson St.

Upon arrival, officers located 18-year-old Tishawn Wilson, who had sustained a stab wound to his torso.

Wilson was transported to High Point Regional Hospital for treatment.

As officers investigated they received other calls indicating three other individuals had sustained minor injuries from the incident.

Officers are currently attempting to determine the cause of the fight and the names of the suspects involved.

High Point Central High School students were reportedly involved in the disturbance. After school activities at both High Point Central and Andrews High School were canceled on Friday.

Charges are expected.
