Two people injured after tractor-trailer flips over in Forsyth County

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Two people were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries after a tractor-trailer flipped over in Winston-Salem.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. Saturday on I-40 East near mile marker 193. The tractor-trailer was headed south on US Hwy 52 and rolled over while merging onto I-40.

The people who were injured were both in the tractor-trailer. The cause of the crash remains uncertain.

The off ramp from US Hwy 52 South to I-40 East was shut down for several hours as the 18-wheeler was removed. Traffic has since reopened.
