Child pornography found after search of Asheboro man’s home
ASHEBORO, N.C. — An Asheboro man is accused of having child pornography after Randolph County deputies searched his home.
Corey Scott Daniel, 28, faces charges after authorities said the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at 610 Cliff Road.
The search was conducted on Oct. 23 and resulted in the seizure of numerous computers and various items of electronic media, according to deputies.
Detectives found a digital file with child pornography, resulting in a charge of one county of second degree sexual exploitation of a child.
The suspect was arrested Thursday and placed in the Randolph County jail under a $50,000 secured bond. He had his first court appearance Friday.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information can call the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at (336) 318-6678.
