Mark Walker wins district 6 seat, thanks supporters

JAMESTOWN, N.C. — Congressman-elect Mark Walker says he plans to immediately start connecting with local and state leaders as he prepares for the U.S. House district 6 seat.

Walker thanked supports, his family and congressman Howard Coble who is retiring after serving the 6th district for almost 30 years.

Walker told the crowd inside the gymnasium at Life Community Church in Jamestown that some if his first goals are to repeal legislation that hurts small businesses and work “to get government out of people's lives.”
