Walmart is hiring for new neighborhood markets in Winston-Salem and Lexington

Walmart said Friday it is now hiring for two of its new neighborhood market stores in the Triad, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

The stores are under construction at 5041 University Parkway in Winston-Salem, and at U.S. Highway 64 and U.S. 52 in Lexington. Walmart is hiring for up to 95 jobs for each store.

“We are excited to continue to bring new jobs and our Neighborhood Market stores to Lexington and the Winston-Salem area,” said Amanda Henneberg, a spokeswoman for Walmart. “Our small-format stores have been well received by the community, and we look forward to serving our customers with our fresh food and everyday low prices.”

Temporary hiring centers have been set up for people interested in applying. The stores are hiring for full- and part-time associates.

Applications will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 3475 Parkway Village inside the Walmart Supercenter in Winston-Salem.

Applications will be accepted from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1585 Liberty Drive., Suite 1, inside the Walmart Supercenter in Thomasville.
