Liz Marks suffered a horrific crash after she wrecked a car while checking a text message on her phone.

The young girl’s life has since become a nightmare. She wants to warn others of the dangers of texting and driving.

“I thought I was invincible … but clearly I was completely wrong,” said Marks, who claims to have been addicted to her cell phone.

Marks and her mother have teamed up with the US Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to make this eye opening video about the subject.

Liz is now blind in one eye, cannot smell, has poor hearing, can’t create tears and has trouble sleeping. But she says the hardest part is being alone.

Marks says in high school she was a role model and popular. But now she says she has no friends.
