GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Downtown Greensboro is getting ready for the spotlight. A movie starring Kate Beckinsale will be filming on South Elm Street next week.

Crews have transformed the facade of two buildings to look like Brooklyn, New York. One of the buildings was the old Porter Drug Store.

Sandy Higgs is part of the crew in charge of watching over the set. "I'm guarding the place and making sure no one graffiti it or messes with any of the things they've done with it today," Higgs said.

Crews will start filming Monday morning. Elm Street between W. Washington and Market and Feb. 1 Place between Greene and Davie will be closed from 4 a.m. until 2 p.m. Officers will be re-directing traffic.

The Disappoints Room is expected to be released next fall.
