STANLEY, N.C. — Neighbors are concerned about a Stanley home decorated for Halloween where a registered sex offender lives, WSOC reports.

In 2000, Robert Richard Barnes, 53, of Stanley, was convicted of taking indecent liberties with a minor in Gaston County.

Neighbors are concerned that the Halloween decorations could attract children.

Gaston County Sheriff’s Department officials tell WSOC there is nothing they can do about the decorations.
