ROCK HILL, S.C. — A Rock Hill man was arrested after police say he drove past a stopped school bus Wednesday morning while high on keyboard cleaner.
WBTV is reporting that a South Carolina State Constable started following Adam Perlowich, 32, when he spotted him sitting in his car in the middle of the street with his head against the window.
When the constable asked him to turn off his car, the vehicle began to roll down the hill. When the vehicle stopped, he said Perlowich put a can of compressed air into his mouth and inhaled.
When the constable attempted to call 911, the suspect took off in his vehicle. As the constable followed the suspect, he observed him illegally passing a stop school bus with flashing red lights.
When he eventually stopped, Perlowich told officers his kidneys hurt and he thought they were failing.
Officiers found seven cans of keyboard cleaner in his car … five were empty.
Perlowich was taken the Piedmont Medical Center where he was treated and arrested.
He is charged with inhaling aromatic hydrocarbons, passing a stopped school bus and resisting police.
