High Point man charged with human trafficking of a child due in court today
GREENSBORO, N.C. — A High Point man charged with human trafficking of a child will appear in court Thursday.
Joseph Drayton, 56, was arrested Tuesday night after police said they received a complaint about prostitution and narcotics activity at a Greensboro motel room.
Drayton faces two charges of human trafficking of a child, and charges of prostitution, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of controlled substances.
Police said they would not release further information on the human trafficking charges because juveniles are involved.
The suspect is being held in the Guilford County jail on $150,000 bail.
He will appear in court Thursday at 2 p.m.
