Bus driver cited for running red light, causing crash in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A Guilford County Schools bus driver was cited after police say he drove the bus through a red light, causing a crash in High Point Wednesday morning.

Eight children were on board the bus heading to Northwood Elementary. No one was injured.

The accident happened on the southbound side of I-74 off ramp near Kivett Drive around 7:30 a.m.

Raymonte Jenkins, 31, has been a bus driver for Guilford County Schools for two years.

He was cited for failure to stop at a red light.
