MASONBORO ISLAND, N.C. — A man is recovering after being bitten by a shark off Masonboro Island this weekend.
This is the second time this summer someone has been bitten by a shark in the area.
According to WWAY, Miller Diggs got five stitches in his left foot and is expected to be OK.
He says he was kite boarding with friends when the shark bit him. They estimated the shark to be about four feet long.
No one else was hurt.
In July, a Wilmington surfer was also bitten by a shark in the same area of Masonboro Island. He is expected to make a full recovery.
