HIGH POINT, N.C. — One man was injured after his vehicle ran off the road in High Point early Friday morning, flipped and caught fire.

The accident happened around 2:13 a.m. on Clinard Farm Road.

Troopers say the vehicle ran off the road, hit several mailboxes, flipped over and caught fire.

Steve Gee, 21, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to troopers.

Troopers say speed was likely a factor as the vehicle was going too fast around a curve.
