ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A computer system developed in Alamance County has received national recognition for how it has benefited the public.
The program is called the Alamance County Electronic Protective Order System. It streamlines the process of getting protective orders for domestic violence victims by allowing them to fill out and file the necessary paperwork from the Family Justice Center of Alamance County.
The Alamance County system was one of 10 winners of the 2014 GCN Awards for IT excellence.
