SPARTANBURG, S.C. — A South Carolina woman was arrested after deputies say she poured bleach on her boyfriend and his belongings.

WHNS is reporting that 21-year-old Ayisha Morrison poured the bleach on her boyfriend because she was upset over the text messages she found on his phone.

Deputies were called to the couple’s Fortune Drive home on Wednesday where the victim reported the fight.

The victim told deputies that Morrison began screaming at him about the text message, so he gathered his belongings to leave.

Morrison then grabbed the bleach and poured it on him and his belongings, deputies say. It was reported that Morrison then tried to spray his bags with lighter fluid.

Morrison told deputies that she locked her boyfriend out of a room, but he kicked in the door spraying lighter fluid and saying he would burn the place down.

The man had scratches on his back and chest, along with bruising on his forearms, according to deputies. Morrison had bleach marks on her clothes and scratches on her chest she says she may have caused.

Deputies say Morrison later admitted to pouring the bleach.

Morrison was arrested on a charge of criminal domestic violence.
