GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A mother was arrested after authorities say she made her son get out of the family car during an argument and left him to walk home alone.
WHNS reported that Tiffany Simmons and her 12-year-old son were in a different county than their home when she made him get out of the car. He eventually wandered to a house about 20 miles away.
The owner of the house answered his knock around 10:30 p.m. Saturday and offered the boy a coke.
Authorities charged Simmons with unlawful conduct towards a child.
According to deputies, the boy is with family while the Department of Social Services investigates.
