Two charged after marijuana grow operations found in Forsyth Co.
FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — Two men were arrested after Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies say two marijuana grow operations were located in the northeast section of Forsyth County earlier this month.
Investigators say the marijuana grow operations were located at 7512 and 7536 Dennis Road, Walnut Cove.
The search of 7512 Dennis Road revealed both an indoor and outdoor grow operation. More than 50 marijuana plants were seized. Grow lights, pipes for irrigation, potting materials, prescription medication and assorted drug paraphernalia also were seized.
Jonathan Dane Davis, 28, of 7512 Dennis Road, Walnut Cove, was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 13, and charged with trafficking marijuana, maintaining a dwelling/place for manufacture of controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Davis is in jail under a $50,000 secured bond. His court date is set for Aug. 29.
A second marijuana grow operation was located at 7536 Dennis Road. Deputies say 14 marijuana plants were seized, most of them being 12 feet tall. A stolen handgun and drug paraphernalia also were seized at the house.
Johnny Lee Davis, 51, of 7536 Dennis Road, Walnut Cove, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 19, and charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Davis is in jail under a $150,000 secured bond. His court date is set for Sept. 5.
