Three charged in Thomasville sweepstakes armed robbery

THOMASVILLE, N.C.– Three people were arrested in connection with the armed robbery at Pots O’ Gold in Thomasville.

The incident happened July 30, at the Pots O’ Gold Sweepstakes.

Officers responded to the business, located at 1330 National Highway, at 11:20 p.m. in reference to a robbery.

An employee told police a white male and white female entered the establishment displaying a firearm and demanded money.

On Aug. 15, police arrested Amanda Marie Helton, 23, and Dillon Scott Baker, 16, both of Thomasville.

Helton was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $75,000 bond. Baker was charged with armed robbery. He was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $20,000 bond.

Police are looking for Andrew Dwight Kirby, 24, who also faces charges of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
