UPDATE: Traffic flowing again after overturned crane closes westbound I-40

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- An overturned crane on Interstate 40 clogged traffic in the westbound lanes of the freeway between N.C. 66 and Union Cross Road Wednesday afternoon.

The crane has been moved from the freeway and traffic is flowing again as of 5:50 p.m.

The accident happened near mile marker 198. Another crane truck was brought in to upright it.

The overturned crane tipped over while it was in the process of installing updated signs.

According to the Winston-Salem Journal, officials said no one was hurt.
