GREENSBORO, N.C. — A popular bakery and cafe in downtown Greensboro will soon add a second location to keep up with demand.
Loaf Bakery owner Robert Roth says he plans to open a new storefront in the western part of Guilford County sometime in October, but did not disclose the exact location.
He says his bakery, which opened in 2011, has seen tremendous popularity, particularly in the past couple months after joining the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market. That alone, he says, boosted business about 30 percent.
People like Chloe Griffin, who frequent Loaf, say they’re excited to see a local business doing so well.
“I think it’s really awesome. I think it shows that our community cares about its local business owners,” she said. “We care about each other. And that people are supporting a small business is great.”
Loaf Bakery is located in an alleyway off of South Elm Street in downtown Greensboro. It’s open seven days a week.
