King man arrested for stealing 4-wheeler, fleeing from police
KING, N.C. — Police have arrested a man in connection with stealing a 4-wheeler and fleeing to elude capture.
Alex Gray Davis, 18, of King, was charged with two counts of felony fleeing to elude police, possession of stolen goods, consuming alcoholic beverages underage, reckless driving, driving while license revoked, speeding, failure to stop for red light, driving left of center and driving with no safety helmet.
In the early morning hours Wednesday, King police observed a red Honda 4-wheeler traveling at a high rate of speed on Mountain View Road.
A chase ensued and officers lost sight of the 4-wheeler when it fled into a wooded area.
Upon subsequent investigation, officers located the 4-wheeler, the driver and the passenger. The driver was identified as Davis.
A check of the 4-wheeler revealed it was reported stolen from Randolph County on May 1.
Davis will appear in court Oct. 14 in Stokes County.
The passenger, Christopher Brandon Eads, 19, of King, was charged with consuming alcoholic beverages underage.
Davis was arrested in King approximately a month ago for felony fleeing to elude on a motorcycle.
