DURHAM, N.C. — The body of missing Durham priest Kent Torrey Hinkson was found late Saturday night in Orange County, according to WTVD-TV.
Officials said the 71-year-old had been missing since Monday. The family said a suspect is in custody, although specific details were not released.
Hinkson’s family confirmed on their website his body was found.
The victim had served as a priest at All Saints Church for about two years.
Hinkson’s wife, Jeline, called 911 on Monday after he failed to return home from running errands.
That same evening police picked up his cellphone signal, and Wednesday a tip led detectives to his car, which they discovered about five miles from his Woodcroft neighborhood.
