SEVEN SPRINGS, N.C. — A vigilant neighbor foiled the kidnapping of a Wayne County four-year-old, according to WTVD.
The incident happened Wednesday on Jimmy’s Drive in Seven Springs.
Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said when Oscar Juarez-Perez arrived home with a small child the neighbor got suspicious because the man had never been seen with a child before.
Investigators soon learned Juarez-Perez had abducted the child. The child was returned to its mother unharmed.
Juarez-Perez was charged with felony child abduction and felony restraint. He was placed under a $500,000 bond.
