CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte minister has been arrested, accused of inappropriately touching two young girls.

The girls are reportedly ages 6 and 10, police say.

Orlando Agusto Caldera, 64, was arrested and charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child.

Police were called out to Memorial United Methodist Church on Central Avenue Monday night in reference to a disturbance. When they arrived, they met the two girls and one of the girls’ mothers.

They told officers that Caldera, a minister at the church, had inappropriately touched both girls.

Head pastor Rev. Don Newman says Caldera has been dismissed from his position at the church.

Caldera was placed in jail with his bond set at $100,000.

It was reported that detectives are receiving additional information about other potential victims.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

I just don’t understand this. Priest and ministers that should know the bible from front to back – and they find this okay to do? Does the theme “you will surely rot in hell” have any meaning ?

Just another example showing that religion is antiquated and corrupts humans minds. Let this mess go people. Wake up and just value morals, not some book written by a king many years ago!
