DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — LGBT and immigration groups are preparing to counter-protest a rumored Ku Klux Klan rally in Welcome on Saturday, according to the News & Record.

But, there is no confirmation that the KKK will actually be in Welcome.

The organization requested a permit July 11 to hold a rally Saturday in Troy, but police say they have not yet picked it up. They have until 10 a.m. Friday to pick up the permit.

The permit allows 200 people to rally against immigration in front of the county courthouse in Troy at 4 p.m. Saturday.
