PATRICK COUNTY, Va. — The Virginia State Police and Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse have issued an Amber Alert for a child abduction.

The alert was issued on behalf of the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., according to WSLS.

Tommy Lee Able Engle, 3, has reportedly been abducted by his father, 34-year-old Tommy Lee Travis Engle.

The boy’s father has made suicidal and homicidal threats toward law enforcement. He may be armed with an AK-47 and a ballistics vest.

They may be traveling in a navy blue 2001 Dodge Neon with Virginia registration WNZ-9169.

Anyone that sees the two or the vehicle is asked to immediately contact the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office at 276-694-3161.

We are obviously all much safer now that anybody can carry guns including AK 47’s. As a matter of fact I see absolutely no reason all American’s shouldn’t be allowed to carry explosives too like grenades and such. That would make us even safer. And just like guns all 18 and above should be allowed to carry all such weapons of “self-defense” into schools.

These Amber Alerts are like the boy who cried wolf. They should not be used in child custody battles, which they almost always are.
