STOKESDALE, N.C. — A landlord in Stokesdale has been arrested after deputies believe he was secretly video taping a female tenant.
Jack Griffin Knight, 73, of 255 Cross Country Chase, Stokesdale, is charged with felonious secret peeping.
Investigators believe Knight used hidden cameras to secretly record a woman who was renting the basement apartment in Knight’s home.
Knight was placed in the Rockingham County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 13.
The suspect was a substitute teacher for Rockingham County schools from 2002-2014. Officials said the last time he worked as a substitute was in the spring of this year.
Since being charged, he is no longer on the substitute teacher list, officials said. No complaints were filed against him during his time as a substitute.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
