CANNON BEACH, Ore. — Oregon police are searching for a 40-year-old Washington woman in connection with the alleged aggravated murder of her 2-year-old daughter in a hotel room, according to KATU.

Isabella Smith, 2, was found dead in a room at Surfsand Hotel on Friday. Jessica Smith, 40, is wanted for aggravated murder and is considered armed and dangerous.

The woman’s 13-year-old daughter was also found in the room with multiple cuts and stab wounds. She was flown to a local hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

An autopsy on the 2-year-old was inconclusive, however Cannon Beach Police Chief Jason Schermerhorn said the case is a homicide investigation.

“There are no other suspects,” Schermerhorn told KATU.

The father of the two children is not a suspect in the case and is cooperating with police.
