Greensboro man gets $250k bail on drug charges

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro man was jailed under a $250,000 bail on drug charges, according to the Greensboro News & Record.

Kevin Lamont Epps, 39, has been charged with maintaining a dwelling to sell a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana, and two counts of trafficking methylenedioxymethamphetamine.

Methylenedioxymethamphetamine is commonly known as the drug Ecstasy, a stimulant known to produce mild psychedelic and hallucinogenic effects.

The suspect is accused of manufacturing and was in possession of more than 1,000 dosage units of the Ecstasy pills. He also is accused of possessing 4 1/2 pounds of marijuana.

Epps was jailed Friday under a $250,000 bail. His court date is planned for Sept. 29.
