Woman charged with killing soldier in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville Police Department said Friday it has charged a 20-year-old woman in Wednesday’s shooting death of a Fort Bragg soldier.

WTVD-TV reported that 21-year-old Justin Moore was gunned down in the parking lot at the Lake in the Pines apartment complex on Tamarack Drive around 11:40 a.m.

Detectives have arrested Adacia Bruton of Hillsboro Street in Pittsboro and charged her with first-degree murder.

Police did not describe the relationship between the two.

Bruton was being processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center Friday morning.
